Writing an incredible blog post right now would be like reading the three middle chapters of a good book - it would somehow seem incomplete. So here's a synopsis of life to put you back in context... uh, in backwards order:
I have officially turned twenty years old. And I love it! I'm doing things like playing at open mike's, having a real job, and making lots of new great friends.
On the real job note - I GOT A NEW JOB! If you read a few posts down, I was deciding whether or not to go to school, etc. I put my resume in with someone that worked at my current job, and prayed that God would show me that I was doing the right thing by letting me have an incredible job. Then I forgot about it. Time went by (obviously... I can't believe it's been two and a half months since I last posted), and the deadline for applying for school came on a Monday. And I was settling in for another year or so at the coffeehouse.
Out of the blue, I got a call that Wednesday to come in for an interview with the company I'd put my resume in with. And, voila, I got the job. It is literally the perfect job for me, and the whole process has given me an incredible trust in God's sovereignty. He really knows me.
I feel like I've stepped into a whole new level of knowing and experiencing God through the Bible and life. I'll probably write more about this in the future, because it's an important chapter in the story, but I feel like I'm seeing life through the right filter finally.
I've always seen everything with the church as my axis. Imagine my surprise to learn that I was wrong. I was all along the Pharisee I'd condemned.
Jesus is everything. It is absolutely, without question, indubitably, all about Jesus Christ. The main character in my life is no longer Abigail the 'church-girl worker-bee poster child'... it's Jesus. And I wouldn't trade him places for the world.
It's a good place.
